Frankie Forsyth
Pelion Consulting Pty Ltd

About the Award Winning Entry:
The world was not cooperating with Frankie Forsyth when it came time to co-facilitate a recent synchronous panel session. Her nominator wrote: "Frankie is a single mum who co-runs an e-learning consulting firm from her back bedroom, using a laptop." As the session was starting, Frankie couldn't get logged in on her own laptop due to a mysterious problem in Microsoft Explorer. Since the synchronous event "fell right slap bang in the middle of the school holidays", Frankie commandeered her 7 year old daughter Fiona's laptop. Fiona was particularly peeved because she was unable to play Neopets and kept asking during the session when she could have her laptop back. To make matters worse, Frankie accidentally kicked the faulty power cord on her daughter's laptop, and dropped out of the session completely. Despite all of these circumstances, Frankie pulled off a successful event by maintaining her composure, thinking on her feet, and relying on the deftness of her co-facilitator, Michael Coghlan.
